The 2009 Hambleton Show had the largest entries yet. We had the new RIHS Show Ponies & Show Hunter Ponies which were very well supported, so thank you for supporting these new classes. We were blessed with very good weather which brought out a lot of quality horses and ponies, so for 2009 we were able to donate £4000 to Yorkshire Cancer Research, and we gave £1000 to the Multiple Sclerosis Society (York Branch) and because we has such a fantastic show we have given £1000 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which I am sure you will all agree are three worthy charities.
So once again a very big thank you to Bainbridge Enterprises Ltd Co Durham for the £350 Ridden Supreme and A. W Brown Knayton, Thirsk for the £250 In hand Supreme and Mr Glan Haswell Family Butcher, Co Durham for providing all the cooked meat for the hospitality marquee and to all the other people and business that very kindly sponsored either classes or with an advert. Thank you to our stewards, helpers, Judges and competitors without you all we would not have had such a successfully show that we did.
The 2010 Hambleton Show will be held on Sunday 30th May 2010.
Amendment: Burghley Young Event Horses section III is been judged by Mr B Haughton, from Nottingham, and not by Mr P Craft as originally stated in the schedule.
