Hambleton Show Sunday 27th May 2012
We are pleased to annouce that the Hambleton Show has been awarded a qualifying round for the 2012 HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW CUDDY CHAMPIONSHIP, and we would like to thank everyone who wrote a letter in support of our show getting the qualifying round.
As a result of getting the Cuddy qualifier we had added additional In-Hand classes:
Welsh Section C & D Bronze Rosette
NPS Show Pony Breeding (Silver Medal)
Show Hunter Pony Breeding (Silver Medal)
NPS Ottergayle Hack Breeding
NPS Ottergayle Riding Horse Breeding
We are also now having the Bronze Rosette for the Welsh Part Breds.
Also new for 2012 are the NPS RIHS Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Ponies
and the BSPS have awarded the show RIHS qualifiers for the Working Hunter Ponies.
The Hambleton Show has now been running for 17 years and has given approximately £46,000 to different charities over the years, mainly to Yorkshire Cancer Research, but in the last 3 years also donated to Multiple Sclerosis Society (York Branch) and Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and I'm sure you will all agree these are all very worthy causes.
So once again 2011 Hambleton Show had another very successful year, we were able to donate £4000 to Yorkshire Cancer Research, and we gave £1000 to the Multiple Sclerosis Society (York Branch) and £1000 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
So once again a very big thank you to Moyallon Chutneys, Homer Hill Farm Shop, Houghton-le-Spring, Co Durham, 01915 841941 for the £250 Ridden Supreme and Abacus Direct Ltd, Bathroom design and Manufacturing, Copgrove, Harrogate, 01423 341100 for the £250 In hand Supreme and Mr Glan Haswell Family Butcher, Co Durham for providing all the cooked meat for the hospitality marquee and to all the other people and businesses that very kindly sponsored either classes or with an advert. Thank you to our stewards, helpers, Judges and competitors. Without you all we would not have had such a successful show as we did.

The 2012 Hambleton Show will be held on Sunday 27th May 2012, postal schedules end of April.

The show will continue at The Barugh, Carlton Hustwaite for the foreseeable future by kind permission of Mr A.G Knowles.
